This piece explores the inner landscape as a space of tension, exchange, and integration between opposing states of being.
Two interwoven figures emerge against a vast, atmospheric field - one defined by structure, extension, and clarity, the other by fluidity, permeability, and flow. Rather than existing in opposition, the forms move through one another in a state of active negotiation, suggesting a relationship between containment and release, stability and change.
The surrounding environment - part cosmic expanse, part architectural trace - situates the figures within a shifting field where nothing is fixed. A circular, radiant form behind them acts as both threshold and anchor, while a delicate, symmetrical structure above introduces a sense of order within motion.
Through contrasts in colour, texture and form, the work considers how internal forces coexist without resolution. It reflects an embodied experience of holding complexity - where strength does not require rigidity, and fluidity does not dissolve structure, but instead moves through it.

Hi!
I’m Daina ( pronounced “Dinah” and meaning “song” in Lithuanian), and I’m a multidisciplinary artist, producer, designer, introvert, HSP, animal lover and mom to 2 huskies, based in Toronto, Canada..
What you’ll see here is a portfolio showcasing my wide range of talents and abilities: as a character and costume designer, costume illustrator, and spiritual/energetic artist and designer.
I’ve had over a decade’s worth of adventures wearing many hats (both in the independent theatre/film world and in live action film & television), as a Shakespearean actor, producer, costume designer, assistant costume designer and concept artist/illustrator.
The future is bright! And I’m hoping to have even more adventures as a visual storyteller and creator on the road ahead.
